Xero Projects and XPM – What Should I Use for My Practice Management?

Recently we helped a practice get set up on Xero Projects, as they wanted to use this platform instead of XPM. So I wanted to take a look at both platforms and go through the differences. Both systems are great, Xero projects are perfect for small whereas XPM is suitable for bigger practices or multi-partner practices
Xero Projects:
- Easy to set up
- Everything in one place
- Easily put in times for each project
- Can view profitability on a one-page dashboard
- If you are looking for something small, this could be the option for you
- Easy for most people to set up themselves
XPM (Xero Practice Manager):
- Great product
- More in-depth reporting
- Tax incorporated
- More versatile
- Recommended set-up assistance from a third party (Hello- we can help!)
What should I use?
If you are using XPM and are happy, then leave it, however, if you are using this and don’t feel it is right for you, consider trying Xero Projects. In my experience, Xero Projects is a great fit for small practices, whereas XPM is perfect for bigger practices.
Is there a price difference?
This depends on your Xero subscription.
