Are you Under Resourced?

Being under resourced is a pressing topic across all business – you hear it every day. We are all feeling the strain of being under-resourced in our businesses. Whether it’s a bookkeeping practice, an accounting practice, or any other business, we’re all facing staff shortages.
Fortunately, there are two main solutions to this problem: automation and delegation.
Delegation
Delegation is a great way to make use of the resources you already have, but when you’ve run out of local resources, you may have to look offshore. We recently held a webinar on this topic, and while it can take some trial and error to make it work, many people have found success with offshoring. If you’re considering this option, do your research and find the right people, and don’t give up! Offshoring can be trial and error, and sometimes it takes a few goes to make it work and find the right people for your team. Once you find the right people – it is a God send, absolutely worth it.
Automation
The other solution is automation. Of course we love automation, and it doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It can be as simple as using software to automate mundane tasks, freeing up your time and resources. An example of how automation has changed my business and way of working at minimal cost is by setting up Calendly. Meeting with clients – both new and old is crucial to maintain the relationship but it costs money and time to arrange appointments. It is really quick to link up to your website and calendar, and your clients can easily book a time that suits you both.
No matter which solution you choose, you can make sure you’re making the most of your resources and if you are struggling, consider outsourcing. It could be the best thing your business has done!
